24 Years Of saving The Forgotten And The Unloved
Decades of dedication.
The first Wienerfest was at Springfield Park, in London Ontario, with 10 dogs and 15 owners. L:ast year, we had over 7,000 dogs and over 10,000 people in attendance.
Committed to animal rescue
All proceeds to go to local registered animal shelters and rescue organizations. Wienerfest has been, and always will be, a volunteer organization where people dedicate their time and energy, helping unloved and unwanted pets
A focus on education and fun, for pets and people!
Wienerfest is dedicated to helping the pet owning public receive professional education on their pets care. We provide an avenue for businesses to have access to a large audience where they can promote their wares, at very low cost.
Wienerfest is about fun. Fun for the dogs, getting out with new smells and games, and fun for pet lover of all stripes, to enjoy the event.
Not all pets are loved
Blue’s Story
To begin, it ends well. Blue likes to travel
But not all do. 60% of dogs who enter shelters are put down. In Canada, almost 1 million dogs per year are euthanized.
Blue was found in a garbage dumpster.
…Behind a pet store, that was going out of business. Instead of trying to find homes for the pets, they were instead tossed into the garbage like used tissues. No thought as to their well-being or future.
Blue was one of the few that survived: he was lucky that, at the moment, a Wienerfest volunteer walked by and rescued Blue.
Blue did not come out of this unscathed, but he is alive, loved, and fed. He has a home and people who love him. Blue is safe.
But such is not the fate the many abandoned and unwanted pets. That is why we hold Wienerfest 2024 Home County Festival: to raise funds and awareness so no pet is needlessly hurt, harmed, or killed.
